About Us

Projector Pictures is an independent production company creating distinctive British drama, attracting high calibre on and off screen talent. Founded by Trevor Eve, Charles Haswell and Sharon Maughan, the company has been BAFTA nominated and has enjoyed both critical and ratings success.

Projector is the producer of ITV’s Kidnap and Ransom, starring Trevor Eve as international hostage negotiator Dominic King. The series, also starring Helen Baxendale, John Hannah and Sharon Small, aired to critical praise and high viewing figures. Both series were filmed largely in Cape Town, South Africa.

Projector's other credits include several feature length dramas for Channel 4: Twelfth Night, starring Parminder Nagra and Chiwetel Ejiofor and directed by Tim Supple, Cinderella, starring Kathleen Turner and Leslie Philips and directed by Beeban Kidron and Alice Through the Looking Glass, starring Kate Beckinsale and Ian Holm, directed by John Henderson. Projector also co-produced The Body Farm with the BBC, a spin off from Waking the Dead, starring Tara Fitzgerald and Keith Allen. 

Projector has a first look deal with NENT Studios UK and currently has projects in development with both established and newer talent, including Chris Lunt, Ed Whitmore, Tom Farrelly, Steve Thompson, Michael Crompton, Eve Hedderwick Turner, Mark Marlow and Michael Richardson. The company has also recently optioned T.M. Logan's bestselling novel, The Holiday.
